lyntergalactic | snowflake challenge #3

i've been doing the

snowflake_challenge this year (though i skipped #2 because i am terrible at setting goals) and #3 is all about a fandom wishlist!

which... is honestly about as difficult for me to think of stuff for as a list of goals. this is partially because the adhd means i hyperfocus on one fandom at a time, usually, and that makes thinking of a broad wishlist a challenge. but, hey, that's the name of the game here, isn't it?

so here we go. things lyn would love to see in fandom someday:

fanart of omega squad and/or the nulls from republic commando. there's some out there!! but i always want more
repcomm longfic. i love the fic that's out there but i'm truly a longfic lover at heart and i would absolutely die if i had a really nice longfic to sink my teeth into
old fashioned fanmixes, with the download links and the custom covers. don't get me wrong, i love that people have long ass spotify playlists these days, but. uh. i don't use spotify, lol
clone wars-themed knitting patterns. there's a few on ravelry that i've been eyeing (i've even got the yarn to make myself a rex hat but it's a Lot of color work and idk if my skills are there yet) but i'm always like MORE PLS
rec lists!! these were how i got around fandom when i was a wee thing and i miss having long rec lists to read through. (though i must shout out gffa who does lovely rec lists, even if their otp is something i'm not into)
more aroace fic. i got to beta a fic for clonebang that's very aroace!niner focused and it was just--ugh. such a delight. it's such a good fic and i'm excited to shove it in everyone's faces when it comes out. but!! it's made me crave aroace characters in fic even more
some way to listen to the repcomm books whilst i'm knitting or doing other stuff. there's no audiobooks and i... have no idea how screen reading/tts technology works

on a more personal note, i kind of have a 2024 fandom wishlist for myself. which i suppose is kind of combining days two and three (goals + wishlist) except i feel like these aren't exactly things i have confidence in achieving, if that makes sense?

i want to finish and post a fic that's 10k words or longer. i know i've got the stories in me!! it's just a matter of actually getting the words out
i want to draw or commission art of all of my star wars ocs and get less shy about talking about them
i want to do a podfic. i'm so sadly picky about podfics and i know i would have fun recording one, but every time i think about doing it there's a little voice in the back of my head that's like "okay but what if someone who knows you IRL recognizes your voice??" and i keep listening to it even if i think what it's saying is stupid lkasjdf

now it's time, i think, to go through other people's wishlists and see if anything sparks inspiration :> i've got a lot of free time this weekend and an itch to do something creative
